Public sector organizations face unique challenges in managing and aligning learning. The Advanced Distributed Learning Co-Laboratory—whose mission includes fostering the development and dissemination of guidelines, tools, methodologies, and policies for the cost-effective use of advanced distributed learning—is sponsoring a free workshop on learning governance and best practices for Federal learning organizations. Grant Ricketts and Rob Pannoni, principals of Razor Learning, have been chosen to lead this workshop.
This highly interactive one-day session will give participants an opportunity to share ideas and experiences with peers while getting practical experience in using a proven methodology and tools to
- Improve alignment and build consensus among learning leaders and operating units to generate a more broadly defined learning charter
- Uncover and manage risks and process gaps that can undermine learning and development efforts
- Establish ‘best practices' to improve operating processes, clarify rules of engagement, build agreement on metrics and gain greater investment support
- Leverage common systems, tools, and processes to better serve constituents, avoid program delays and achieve economies of scale
